This vintage, early mid-century South American blanket boasts of a playful color scheme with a unique centerpiece. The traditional Saltillo blankets were made in the Mexican state of Coahuila in northeastern Mexico near the city of Saltillo. They often consisted of a dark base color with bands of yellow, orange, red, blue, green, purple or other bright colors with fringed ends. The technique to make stunning blankets has been passed on through the generations and it is hard to find two authentic blankets woven exactly the same. These works of art are a lovely addition highlighting any room with warmth and comfort.
