| Condition/Notes | A beautiful antique Turkoman camel trapping rug in very good condition. Free of stains, odors, discolorations, tears, etc. Good pile & fringes. Recently cleaned and ready to be enjoyed in your space. These camel trappings, called an asmalyk, were used in Turkoman wedding ceremonies, when the bride rides a richly adorned camel to her new home. The ornaments worn by the camel were woven by the bride, in order to demonstrate her sewing skills. Measures 3' x 3' 9" with the fringe, 2' 2" x 3' 9" without fringe. |
