VINTAGE MALI SCARF | MIDNIGHT INDIGO

Super chic vintage indigo circa the 1960's.  THe perfect travel and every-day accessory.

This hand woven hemp cotton from the Dogon Tribes of Mali just below the Ivory Coast of West Africa boasts a technique passed on from generation to generation.  Each strip of fabric is woven on a 6" loom and hand sewn together to create a piece of fabric that tribal families have used to carry their babies, as articles of clothing and various other uses for this gorgeous textile.

Age, repairs, love and life make each piece beautifully unique.  Expect slight variations from picture with unique hand repairs and thread colors.
