INDIGO MALI MUDCLOTH PILLOW

These pillows are made using authentic indigo dyed cotton from the West African nation of Mali.  The cotton is handwoven in 6" in strips, then whipstitched together to form larger textile.  The patterns are then created by “tie-dying” the fabric and dying it with dye created from the indigo plant.  After drying in the sun, the result is a dark blue textile with light patterns.  Because the cloth is hand woven and dyed, each pillow is uniquely one of a kind.
